Updates to the website...

Have been rather slow as of late I know. School has definitely gotten pretty intensive here these past few weeks and so the website has been put on the backburner as of late. Rest assured, in the next couple of weeks, things will start rolling again. I've got a few projects handed to me from Alex and they'll be up as soon as possible.

Your patience is greatly appreciated.

nu and improved...

If you haven't already noticed, the website's navigation bar is getting revised. Links will be coming up over spring break so if one isn't clickable and/or broken: no worries, it'll be fixed shortly.

BEST SPIRIT

The brothers of Sigma Nu just recently won the 2007-2008 Colonel Spirit Challenge! An opportunity sponsored by the Student Government Association, the Colonel Spirit Challenge is a competition among Registered Student Organizations to achieve the highest attendance throughout all home basketball games. In addition, two judges determine the group with the most spirit, which awards them bonus points throughout the season.

The Theta Theta chapter of Sigma Nu achieved an impressive lead over all other competition, truly showing the Fraternity's pride in EKU, and their need for $1,000! Congratulations to all of those who contributed to our win and sacrificed their voices, time, and naked torsos covered in paint.

GREEK WEEK RECAP

Greek Week proved to be a challenging, yet rewarding week for the brothers of Theta Theta.  Many balanced their already busy schedules to participate in Greek Life's most tiring week.  Our participation  involved the following:

3rd Place in Can Castle, but we collected,by far, the most cans

An impressive performance at Dance Marathon
Kyle Wright tied first in Limbo
Jon-Jon second in musical chairs
3rd in the boot scooting boogie line dance

Great Participation in the Blood Drive and Kid's Carnival

Impressive Dancing in Greek Sing

At Awards Ceremony, Sigma Nu won the following awards:
2nd Place in Greek Games
Highest Active Chapter GPA
Highest Total Chapter GPA

Above all, Greek Week proved to be an opportunity for the brothers to showcase their dedication to each other.  Time and time again, the men in this chapter prove to be more than willing to devote their time when it is requested.  Thank you to all of the men who contributed during the week.

Great Job Jamal

I just wanted to thank Mr. Jamal Plummer for all the hard work and progress he has made with this website. I want everyone to use this news page wisely and appropriately.  All entries should be short and informative so Alumni and others can quickly see the most recent news concerning the chapter.

So, heres something new

Since the old "news" section was getting rather stale, our current eminent commander wanted a better version to get the most current, up-to-date information available to all of those who wanted it. So, with the help of Google, I've done just that. In addition to the normal "spring-cleaning" that the site went through here recently, I've incorporated two new features to the website:
  1. A calendar that allows all members (particularly committee chairs) to place dates and times to all upcoming events for the semester.
  2. This weblog: that also allows members to place any pertinent information or news, praise, etc. to the website.
With all of that said, there are still a few more additions that are to come. In particular, there will be another blog similar to this one here that will allow alumni to publish any memories, stories, information, etc.

So, check back often: there is still more to come..
